LAHORE - Advocate-General Punjab Khawaja Harris and DPO Gujrat Tahir Alam clashed and exchanged hot words over the issue of former's non-appearance before a court in a case. The clash led DPO Tahir Alam's forced eviction from AGP office after he burst into anger when AGP staff asked him to wait a while. DPO lost his patience over it and burst into anger as a result, he was permitted to go into AGP's room. He angrily addressed AGP, Why did not you appear before the court. You are taking heavy salary but doing nothing. The insulting remarked irked AGP who said, "Who are you to direct me and talk him in this manner? Get out of my room, AGP ordered him, sources said. DPO replied in the same tone," you better get out of here. As DPO was adamant to leave his office, the AGP called his guard and staff who forcibly pushed DPO out of the room. It was then the murmuring DPO left the office, sources said. As Inspector General of Police got knowledge of the unpleasant incident, he reached AGP office and took the details Khawaja Harris, the source said. Later the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has also took up the matter and sought a report from IGP in this regard. When contacted AGP refused to comment on the incident. "I don't want to comment on it," said Haris.
