NORTH WAZIRISTAN AGENCY At least 13 suspected militants were killed in three US drone missile strikes targeting the fighters in North Waziristan Agency on Wednesday, security officials said. According to details, an unmanned US spy plane targeted a vehicle in Qutab Khail village of North Waziristan Agency killing all the five suspected militants died on the spot. The sources said that the attack was launched when a vehicle of the suspected Taliban was spotted in the area. Their identity is yet to be ascertained, however, the killed persons also included suspected Uzabak insurgents. Soon after the attack, personnel of the security forces and local people rushed to the site and started rescue, however, no injured person were found among the victims. Meanwhile, four suspected militants were killed when a US drone fired two missiles at a car in Khaiso Khel town, 25 kilometres east of Miranshah late Wednesday, three local security officials said. The third strike involved four missiles slamming into a vehicle in Pai Khel village in Datta Khel town, killing four more militants, the officials said. The two officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media, said their agents were still trying to get more details. It is to be mentioned here that Wednesdays attack was the second in three days, as similar strike had killed five militants in North Waziristans Mir Ali area, 25 kilometres east of Miranshah yesterday. Around 200 people have been killed in nearly 40 strikes since September 3, 2010. The CIA-operated drone have so far killed a number of high-value targets, including the Pakistani Talibans chief Baitullah Mehsud and a brother of Afghan warlord Sirajuddin Haqqani.
