Police to replace Rangers

It should be taken as a very serious issue that the Supreme Court of Pakistan sees an operation in Karachi as inevitable. The apex court has also requested that the Rangers should go back to their barracks and let the police play its role to establish peace in the strife struck city. Asserting that Rangers’ budget should be diverted to the police, the SC has endorsed the perspective that the latter can cope with the situation alone. The police have had its hands tied by all the interference and politicization. It is high time all concerned parties, political, social, and religious sat down and came up with solutions to the problems faced by Karachi and bring a semblance of stability to the city of Quaid-i-Azam.
