Cara Delevingne has rejected the chance to model at the famous Victoria's secret fashion show this month so that she can appear in a biopic about Amanda Knox. Cara, 21, who recently finished filming drama Kids In Love, has been keeping her role a secret, instead waiting for director Michael Winterbottom to announce her involvement. But her absence from the line-up for the New York fashion event has let the cat out of the bag.  'Victoria's Secret want Cara to do the show this year,' says a friend of the star.  'They love the quirkiness she brings. But acting is where her heart really lies and she wants to prioritise that over modelling.'

Cara, who cavorted with Justin Bieber after last year's show, will play Knox's sister Deanna in the new movie. Knox was jailed in 2009 for killing British student Meredith Kercher in Italy but her conviction was later overturned. Anna Friel is being tipped to be the star of  How To Be A Woman, a film adaptation of journalist and author Caitlin Moran's memoir.  The 37-year-old, who has been dating actor Rhys Ifans since 2011, is viewed as ideal for the role of Caitlin by Film4, the company behind the movie.–MO

Insiders say Anna's high US profile means she could easily carry the project across the Atlantic. The book has been on the New York Times bestseller list. 'Anna is beautiful and clever but also very down-to-earth,' says a mole. 'That's exactly what fans of the book want. Anna is considered the perfect fit.' The film is expected to hit our screens next year.

Simon Cowell loves fish and chips (6)

Lambeth, UK

Talent competition judge Simon Cowell has multivitamin injections to help stay healthy but Amanda Holden - who is a judge alongside Simon on 'Britain's Got Talent' - says he also can't resist a calorific meal now and again. Speaking about her autobiography to new! magazine, she said: ''I have so much respect for Simon. He's my friend. But there are some fun bits about how he likes to binge on fish and chips and how he has multivitamin injections. I tried one once while drinking a glass of champagne and it felt like I'd had eight gin and tonics!''

Meanwhile, the 42-year-old actress is confident that the 'X Factor' boss - who is expecting his first child with his lover Lauren Silverman - will make a brilliant father because he will be forced to change his ways for the sake of his little one.  She explained: ''I don't want to sound patronising when I say that I feel very proud of him for embracing fatherhood. I know it's going to change him for the better. He's a natural.'' However, Amanda - who has children Lexi, seven, and 21-month-old daughter Hollie with husband Chris Hughes - is slightly envious that Simon won't have to suffer with sleepless nights when the tiny tot arrives because he'll have a team of nannies on hand to help out. She said: ''He won't have sleepless nights. He will have a team of people around him - there is no denying that.''
