KARACHI   - All Pakistan Muslim League leader and former federal minister Mohammad Ali Khan Saif has joined Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
Saif made this announcement during a press conference at MQM headquarters on Sunday. Senior MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar was also present. Saif said he was thankful to MQM chief Altaf Hussain, party’s coordination committee and workers who gave him a warm welcome on joining MQM.
Speaking on the occasion, Sattar said MQM was feeling proud as a loyal and self-made personality had joined its folds. He said MQM chief Altaf Hussain had the solution to the issues facing the country.
Saif said MQM was not a political party but a movement that continued the vision of the Quaid. Muttahida Qaumi Movement is the true representative of the Middle class, he added. He said different political parties had invited him to join them.
Said said since long the country had been under the rule of dynastic politicians, but now the middle class domination in the politics would give death to this system.
Saif had resigned as APML secretary general on differences with the party leadership. He alleged the party had placed non-political persons against political workers of APML on key positions in Sindh and Punjab.
