LONDON: Idris Elba has been hospitalised after suffering an asthma attack. The actor fell ill while on a plane headed to South Africa to attend the film premiere of his Nelson Mandela biopic, reports Sky News. He was taken to hospital before the plane left the UK. Elba missed the news conference in Johannesburg but the film's producer Anant Singh said that he is hopeful the star will recover in time for the movie's premiere on Sunday. Singh said at the news conference: "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom tells the real-life story of the anti-apartheid leader's life journey from childhood to becoming the first democratically-elected president of S Africa. –DS
