22 laborers have died after a factory roof collapsed in Sundar, Lahore, Waqt News reported. The rescue operation is underway for the trapped.

“200 laborers are still trapped in the rubble,” rescue sources revealed.

According to media reports emergency has been declared in nearby hospitals. “The chief minister has ordered to take urgent rescue measures,” media reported

Director Operations Lahore has said that 30 rescue vehicles and 160 rescue operatives are working on the site."We have called in ore ambulances of 1122 as we want to complete this rescue operation as quickly as possible," he stated.

According to the media sources Pakistan Army has been called for the rescue operations. " Army rescue team with heavy machinery has been dispatched to the site," ISPR sources told the press.

The rescue operation is likely to continue for another 24 hours.
