This exhibition will lead by a colourful ceremony where more than 500 participants from around the country will participate.

In a statement, Daachi Foundation convener Momina Khiyal said that the purpose of this exhibition to promote, sustain and uplift the arts and crafts of Pakistan. “The Daachi Foundation has so far held a number of successful exhibitions displaying craftsman from all four provinces, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir,” she added.

Khiyal said that Daachi Foundation’s long-term plans are to set up an Artisan Village at Raiwind over 3 and half acres of land. She said that the architectural design of the Village is already done and it has spaces to accommodate craftsmen to improve their skills and crafts in order to provide qualitative and marketable products.

She further said that this Artisan Village will provide housing and workspace to craftsmen for the production, exhibition and sale of the crafts on the premises thereby increasing the public’s appreciation of sustaining Pakistani crafts which are fast declining as a viable mode of earning for craftsmen.
