Model Town inquiry case hearing put off

LAHORE - A full bench headed by Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan adjourned the hearing until November 5 on a petition challenging review committee on inquiry tribunal’s report on Model Town incident as the arguments of the government’s lawyer were continued.
Khawaja Haris, the counsel of the Punjab government, carried out his arguments before the bench. The counsel stated that the report of any commission cannot present before any court and neither it can be considered as an evidence.
He also argued that the commission’s report also does not affect the proceedings of any case and the government, under 1969 Ordinance, is not bound to act on any commission’s report.
