LAHORE - Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf will continue to allege rigging in election till it can win.

He says that democratic values are not yet so strong in Pakistan, therefore, the losing candidates still feel sham in accepting defeat with open heart.

He expressed these views while talking to reporters at book launching ceremony held by Advocate Azam Sultan Suhrwarday at a local hotel on Tuesday evening. Rana Sanaullah said that a single complaint was not received about the rigging during the recent election of local bodies despite the fact that every citizen had cell phone to capture photos and to inform the authorities concerned about rigging. When asked about the murder of PTI worker in his area in Faisalabad, he said that he took part in the funeral prayer and consoled the bereaved family. Although, he said, he was alleged by media that he was involved in the killing of the worker, he added.

He urged the media to investigate the matter before defaming any person. Answering a question about the humiliating remarks of Ch Sher Ali about election symbol 'lion' of PML-N, the minister said that his party has won the election with majority votes and now the opponents were free to do anything they wanted to do with the lion.

Rana Sanaullah said that the timely justice is the first priority of the government. He urged the bar members to make drafts saying that their efforts would be considered. Supreme Court Bar Association’s President Ali Zafar, Pakistan Bar Council’s members Ahsan Bhoon and Ramzan Chaudhry, Justice (retired) Khalilur Rehman Khan were among the other speakers.
