‘Motorway police introduce unique traffic management’

KARACHI - Inspector General Sindh AD Khawaja on Friday said that the policing model of Motorway Police is one of the best in Pakistan and the force is not only gaining high reputation in Pakistan but also making us proud globally.

He said this while addressing the Rank Wearing Ceremony of newly promoted 29 Inspectors/ SPOs of Sindh and Balochistan Zone. Motorway Police introduced a unique traffic management system which is highly admired by road users.

He said that the N-5 South Zone of Motorway Police is most difficult in terms of traffic management, However the dedication and hard work of officers of N-5 South Zone make it convenient to travel safely on N-5 H South Highway.

While addressing the ceremony IG Motorway Police Dr Syed Kaleem Imam expressed his views by saying that he is proud to be the commander of most dedicated and honest force. He sensitised the audience that more promotions will be made soon as the department is progressing positively.

Shaid Hayat Khan DIG, N-5 South Zone congratulated all newly promoted officers and encouraged them to work with same zeal and zest. He said that it is an honour for me to take charge as DIG Motorway Police, N-5 South Zone.

At this occasion inauguration of Road Safety Training Institute in collaboration with Fleet Operators Association of Pakistan (FOAP) was made wherein drivers of HTV and LTV will be trained.

Later, the plaque unveiling ceremony of Pakistan’s first state of the art diving simulator was held at Super Highway with the collaboration of Nestle-Pakistan, this simulator works on 4G technology in which comprehensive analysis of driving skills of drivers is conducted which will be helpful for reducing road accidents occurred due to lack of training and non-professionalism of drivers.

At this occasion Zubair Habib, Chief CPLC, Additional IG Sindh Dr Aftab Pathan, Addl IG Karachi Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar, Addl IG Special Branch Sindh, Dr Waliullah, Brig Naseem Pakistan Rangers, Ansar Burney Social Worker and Former IGP Asad Jahangir Khan were also present.
