Flights to Lahore were diverting to other destinations on Friday because of smog. A CAA official said PIA flight Pk-248 coming from Dammam to Lahore was diverted to Karachi due to poor visibility at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP) in the morning. After the delay of four hours, the flight could land at Lahore. Dammam flight was first flight effected by the smog prevailing in the country.
Meanwhile three Faisalabad-bounded international flights landed at Lahore airport because of smog. The frights were coming from Sharjah and Dubai. Later the passengers were transported to Faisalabad by road. –Staff Reporter
