No room for mafias in Punjab: Buzdar

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that people are his party’s asset and it is his government’s first priority to solve their problems.

Talking to people from various cities at Chief Minister’s Office, he said he had no agenda other than serving people and addressing their issues.

He listened to people and passed instructions to resolve them. He said there was no place for mafias in Punjab and action would be taken against other mafias like land grabbers.

He said he stood by victims against the powerful and nobody would be allowed to deprive people of their rights. He said he would keep contact with people permanently and the PTI had done a great struggle for change dreamed by the captain. “We will do in Punjab as per the idea of a new Pakistan,” he said.

Also, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that murder of Maulana Sami-ul-Haq is tragic. He said Haq was a renowned religious scholar and a wise politician and he was deeply saddened by his death.

He said the Punjab government stood by the grieving family in this hour of distress and the killing was being investigated from every angle. “The culprits will be arrested soon; they cannot escape punishment,” he said. He said religious and political services of Haq would be remembered for a long time.

Also, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of killing of a knife-wielding teen by Dolphin police personnel in Sabzazar and sought a report from the inspector general of Punjab Police. He directed the police to investigate the incident from all aspects and submit a detailed report. He said the responsibility should be fixed and legal action should be initiated. He said the family of the teen would be dispensed justice.
