Charsadda-Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested the brother and two other accused of a woman, whose body had been found in the precincts of Saro Police Station in Charsadda district.
Addressing a press conference, DSP Shabqadar Sabz Ali Khan said that the woman’s body was recovered a few days ago. District Police Officer Asif Bahadur formed an investigation team to solve the blind murder case. The investigating cops laid hands on Sartaj, Abdul Rehman and Farman, residents of Peshawar.
“During interrogation, the police officers found a video which was made at the time of the incident. The arrestees confessed to their crime and the weapons of offence were also recovered,” said the official.
One of the accused, Sartaj, was a brother of the slain Soni, allegedly killed in the name of honour. The police said that Gulnaz, a sister of the slain woman and currently living in the UK, was also involved in the murder because.
