However they managed to win National Football Challenge Cup in 90s. The second leg will be played on 23 October at same venue. In a relatively slow paced first half, with play confined to the midfield for long stretches of time, KPT might have went ahead in the 17th minute but winger Zahid Ahmed failed to score with Amir Gul, NBP keeper, in hopeless position. He controlled a long pass to launch a shot that was saved by Amir, but he made no mistake on the rebound, slapping the ball past the NBPs international goalkeeper on the second try. The second goal emerged in the third minute of injury time. Portmen broke a bankerss defensive line when a free kick from Muhammad Ismail Baba saw the ball slip through the crowded penalty-area with Amir helpless.
