LAHORE - Monthly ‘Phool’ Editor and Children Magazine Society Pakistan President Shuaib Mirza on Wednesday said to serve the humanity in general and the ailing children in particular was a special blessing for us.
Mirza expressed these views while addressing a ceremony specially held in honour of ailing children at Mayo Hospital.
‘Akhuwat’ Director Dr Ismat on the occasion said the organisation had constructed halls at different hospitals where such functions had been organised. She thanked the ‘Phool’ team for managing such a beautiful sitting for the ailing children.
Social worker Fouzia Chughtai, Hafiz Muzafar Mohsin, Dr Sidra Ali, Altaf Malik, Abu Bakar and Qamarul Hasan also addressed the ceremony.
They highlighted the role played by monthly Phool on conducting such a children friendly ceremony. Toys on the demands of the children were also distributed among the patients on the occasion.
SEMINAR: Punjab University Department of Gender Studies is organising a seminar on “Awareness on the Prevention of Dengue”. Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Rana Mashhood, Dr Zakria Zakir, Dean Faculty of Social and Behovrial Sciences, Zakia Shahnawaz, Kiran Daar, Shaista Pervaiz Malik, Dr Somia, Senior Registrar Medicine Unit Mayo Hospital and a large number of students will participate in the seminar.
