LAHORE – At least 23 police officers have been reshuffled by SP Mujahid Squad and deputed at different police pickets in the City’s imperative areas on Wednesday.

A handout says standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being implemented and visible sign boards are also being displayed for the guidance of motorists and the public as well. The SP Mujahid has categorically stated the lenient and lethargic officers would be suspended from service and other strict departmental action would be taken against them.

FIVE HELD: Similarly, five notorious drugs peddlers namely Sheikh Hafeez, Muhammad Mushtaq, Ghulam Mustafa, Muhammad Ramazan and Shabbir of Green Town were rounded up by Saddar Police on the same day. SP Saddar (operations) Captain Liaqat Ali Malik (retired) said that narcotics worth thousands of rupees have also been recovered from their possession. “They had been leading this heinous business since long in different parts of the City,” he stated. He has also announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the raiding police teams.

CTO: Chief Traffic Officer Lahore has said special mobile learner units of the City Traffic Police are issuing learner permits to the students of different educational institutions of the Capital City. According to him, after obtaining the permits, these students have been asked to appear for driving test and afterwards they are issued permanent licenses.
