SIALKOT – Federal Minister for National Regulation and Services Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the government had taken effective measures to provide quality facilities to pilgrims at Saudi Arabia, by avoiding the mistakes committed in the past.

She was talking to the intended pilgrims at Sialkot International Airport. She said that complaints by the pilgrims regarding any sort of inconvenience would be resolved on the spot.

She saw off the pilgrims of first direct Haj flight from Sialkot Airport. The Pakistan International Airlines started its Haj operation from Sialkot International Airport which would end on October 7. On the occasion, Sialkot International Airport General Manager Nawaz said that as many as 3,500 male and female pilgrims would be sent to Saudi Arabia for performing the Haj obligation through seven direct flights from Sialkot.
