LAHORE – Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday asked Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa to hand over former Ogra chairman to police.

“It has been reported that former Ogra Chairman Touqeer Sadiq has taken refuge in the Governor’s House,” he said according to a private TV channel. Sana maintained that the Supreme Court had issued Sadiq’s arrest order but nobody was following the same.

He also appealed to Khosa to hand over the accused to police as per law, with the warning that if the court’s order was not followed, police would be bound to enter the Governor’s House without permission.

Sana also warned that if khosa did not cooperate with the Punjab government in this regard, the latter would register a case against him.

On the other hand, a Governor’s House spokesman said on Wednesday that the provincial law minister’s statement regarding former Ogra chairman was baseless.

Separately, Sana has asked PPP leader Raja Riaz to move the court of law if he believed that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was a dual-nationality holder. He stated on Wednesday that telling lies was a permanent character of PPP leaders, and what Raja alleged against the chief minster was one of those lies.
