LAHORE – Jamhoori Watan Party chief Talal Akbar Bugti warned that the enemy agents had infiltrated sensitive institutions and were hatching conspiracies to disintegrate the country.
Talking to media after meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) President Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair and other leaders, Talal Bugti, son of slain Baloch elder Sardar Akbar Bugti, alleged that the federal government was not serious in resolving the Balochistan issue.
He said that PPP provided a safe passage to the killer of Sardar Akbar Bugti, Gen Pervez Musharraf, which tantamount to adding insult to injuries of entire Baloch nation. He reiterated forming a grand alliance of religious and political parties for saving the country, but warned that he was not ready to sit with the PML-Q and the MQM which were the political arms of Gen Musharraf.
He said the PPP government that failed to arrest the killers of Benazir Bhutto was incapable of apprehending those committing atrocities on Balochis. He reiterated demand of arrest and trial of Gen Musharraf for killing thousands of Pakistanis including Baloch leaders.
Abul Khair Zubair said the JUP would support the cause of Baloch leaders and stressed the need for a grand alliance of all patriotic parties.
Qari Zawwar Bahadur said demands of Baloch leaders for trial of Gen Musharraf and opening ‘no-go’ areas of Dera Bugti were justified and the JUP fully support them.
Meanwhile, talking to the newsmen at a reception hosted by the PML-N in his honour, Talal Bugti announced to hold a public meeting in City on October 8.
The PML-N and other parties had assured of taking part in that meeting, he said. He said political parties and religio-political parties had assured him of full cooperation to address the issues of Baloch people.
Sounding confident over the outcome of his visit, he said he had also been assured of cooperation on persuading the Baloch leadership at present sitting outside the country, to make it come back.
Answering a question, Bugti dropped a positive hint at the grand political alliance for jointly contesting the upcoming general elections.
Talal Bugti will visit Labour Party Pakistan (LPP) office today (Thursday). He is on a four days visit to the City. LPP member federal executive committee Farooq Tariq and others will welcome him and will express solidarity with those fighting for rights of Balochistan.
