SHEIKHUPURA – A large number of local hockey players staged a protest in front of the District Sport Complex against Naveed Alam Olympian on his appointed as the chief coordinator of Hockey Sheikhupura for the Youth Festival. 
The protesters were carrying banners and placards and chanting slogans against his appointment. The protesters including Anjum Seead and Ikhlaq Ahmed protested and boycotted the festival due to the appointment of Naveed as chief coordinator and of his brother as district coordinator of the national game. On the other hand, Naveed Alam condemned the protest and termed it a conspiracy against him.
