PESHAWAR - The 20th convocation ceremony of Military College of Engineering (Risalpur) was held on Wednesday, wherein over all 106 graduates were conferred upon bachelors degrees of Civil Engineering. Besides degree, gold medals were also awarded to students for their achievements. Rector National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Lieutenant General Muhammad Asghar, (Retired) was the chief guest on the occasion. Major General Taufiq Rafiq, Engineer-in-Chief was the guest of honour. The president gold medal was awarded for overall best performance to cadet Umais Khan, Chief of Army Staff Gold Medal to the best military students in academics to Captain Taimur Shahzad; Engineer-in-Cheif’s Silver Medal was also awarded to Captain Taimur Shahzad and Commandant’s Medal to the to the 2nd best military students in academics to Gentleman cadet Ali Nauman. Rector Gold Medal for best project was awarded to NUST cadet Umais Khan. Rector NUST Lt Gen M. Asghar, (Retired) extended his heartiest felicitations to the esteem faculty and students. and their parents. He also spoke about the significance of the engineering education in socio-economic uplift of the country. Earlier during his welcome address, Commandant Brigadier Anwar Ul Haq Chaudhry highlighted the history of MCE and its achievements.
