LONDON: British radio presenter Dave Lee Travis appeared in court on Thursday charged with two further counts of indecent assault. The 68-year-old former BBC star, one of the biggest names in British broadcasting during the 1970s and 1980s, is already facing 11 counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault. Travis, who counts Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi among his fans, has indicated that he will plead not guilty to all the charges. In a four-minute hearing at a magistrates’ court in London, Travis, whose real name is David Patrick Griffin, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. –AFP
