HAFIZABAD - The Vanik Tarar police yesterday registered two more cases against the alleged ‘serial’ child abuser, taking the number of cases registered in the scandal to six
The ‘serial’ sodomiser Shahid Imran alias Chairman of village Channi Hunjranwan has already been in the police custody.
On Saturday, a team comprising officials of the Punjab Child Protection Bureau and police visited the village and made announcement on loudspeaker, asking parents of victims to submit their application for registration of FIR without any fear or hesitation. However, the advice could (only) motivate two parents who submitted their application for the registration of FIRs.
The parents of Muhammad Usman and Ihtashamul Haq narrated that their 13-year-old sons were subjected to unnatural offence and blackmail by the ‘serial’ sodomiser about a year back. Meanwhile, DPO Shakir Hussain Dawar has strictly advised the police that he would not show any leniency towards any cops, found creating hurdle in the provision of justice to the victims of child abuse. He also appealed to the villagers to approach the police for registration of case against the child abuser and assured that justice would be provided to them.
