BAHAWALPUR

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur administration has praised the Punjab government’s initiatives for the welfare of special persons particularly students.

The IUB vice-chancellor praised the government for providing electronic arms to special student Hafiz Muhammad Waqar. He said that the education-friendly policies of the government had proved to be a landmark in the human resource development of the province.

The provision of scholarships and laptop, solar lamps under Ujala Scheme and the appreciation given to position holders to thousands of students are proof of the government services. Similarly, the special students are also getting benefit from these facilities on priority basis.

Waqar is a student of MPhil in Islamic Studies Department. He had lost his arms in an accident 12 years ago and was facing problems in his daily life for seeking education.

The provision of electronic arms was announced for him. The VC said that that the government was making efforts for special persons which are highly commendable.
