Lahore - Pakistani women cricket team will take on the Bangladesh team in the first One-Day International (ODI) match of two-match series today (Sunday) in Karachi and they have vowed to maintain winning momentum.
Pakistani women are flying high up after a comprehensive victory in Twenty20 series against the visitors and they are hoping to maintain this winning momentum in the One-Day International series as well.
Bismah Maroof along with national team captain Sana Mir and other players performed exceptionally well against the guests Bangladesh during the Twenty20 series and whitewashed them winning the series 2-0. In the two-match ODI series, they are eager to produce the same classic results and clean sweep the series as it will help them prepare well for the upcoming international assignments.
Sana Mir will lead Pakistan team while Bismah Maroof will help her as she was crowned woman of the series in the T20 series. Salma Khatun will captained the Bangladesh team and is very hopeful to break the losing chain by winning the first ODI against hosts Pakistan. The captain along with the entire team is very positive about their visit to Pakistan and they have been enjoying their tour as they feel no fear and termed the security as foolproof and satisfactory.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board also held a ceremony to unveil the ODI series trophy which was attended and lauded by both the teams’ players.
