Sajid Mir meets Shahbaz Sharif

LAHORE - Head of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Sajid Mir called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif yesterday and exchanged views on the matters of mutual interests particularly about the Nation Action Plan to fight terrorism in the country.
The CM told Mir that through the military operation, Zarb-e-Azb, a decisive war is on for purging the country of the menace of terrorism. “The National Action Plan is being effectively implemented to eliminate terrorists and their facilitators as well as not leave room for their hiding.
“Steps are being taken for speedy action on NAP. End to terrorism is demand of the whole nation and the military operation will persist till last terrorist is wiped out.”
The chief minister said united efforts of all are required for abolishing the scourge of terrorism and political forces are needed to contribute in this regard. Given the current situation, promotion of brotherhood, tolerance and patience in society is a pressing need, he added. MNA Hafiz Abdul Kareem and Amir Bait-ul-Maal Punjab Salman Mangla were also present on the occasion.
Separately, the chief minister held a meeting with the PML-N office bearers who called on him here yesterday. Shahbaz Sharif said the solid economic policies of PML-N government are paying dividend as the foreign exchange reserves have exceeded $20 billion. “The process of industrial development has accelerated and the trade and business activities increased in the country.
“The government is effectively coping with the challenges of terrorism, extremism, sectarianism and energy shortage which had caused huge economic loss to the country. Transparency and the policy of merit of the government have also yielded good results.
“Scale of poverty can be climbed down by way of promoting investment that will also help end unemployment. As such, the government has adopted right policies towards this direction.” The CM expressed the hope that Pakistan will soon achieve the target of prosperity and development.
