Sikandaria Colony school gets computer lab

LAHORE - Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood inaugurated a newly constructed computer lab at Government Middle School Sikandaria Colony Bund Road.
The minister also announced extension of the institution by including seven marla piece of land adjacent to school in the premises. A longstanding need of the school has been fulfilled with the construction of computer lab comprising seven computers completed at a cost of Rs0.5 million.
Accompanied by Education EDO Pervaiz Akhtar, Rana Mashhood visited different classes and reviewed the performance of the students. He also distributed prizes among the students displaying outstanding performance. Mashhood stressed upon headmistress and other teachers of the school to fully prepare for L&D test to be conducted after some days to review educational performance of the children.
Portuguese envoy visits PU: Ambassador of Portugal to Pakistan Dr Joao Paulo Sabido Costa has visited the Punjab University and met with Director External Dr Maria Isabel Maldonado at Committee Room of VC’s office. Mr Iftihkar Feroz, Honorary Counsul of Portugal and the faculty members of Institute of Languages (IoL) were also present on the occasion. Dr Sabido was happy to see the IoL’s efforts for the promotion of Portuguese and other languages.
Later, Dr Sabido visited the PU library, where he donated a Portuguese book which was earlier translated into Urdu and Chinese languages. After that he visited IoL, where he donated 15 books of Portuguese language to the IOL library.
