Ex-minister for anti-illiteracy crusade

HAFIZABAD- Former provincial minister Shaheen Attiqur Rehman has stressed the need for launching crusade against illiteracy in the country.
“Education is imperative for the progress, prosperity and stability of the nation.”
She was speaking at the inauguration of teachers training programme held under the auspicious of Bunyad in Chheena village.
The ex-minister called upon the civil society members to cooperate with NGO for the promotion of education in the country. Senior Bunyad member (planning) Riaz Ahmad informed that Bunyad has established 204 schools across the district including 73 near brick-kilns.
TRACTOR STOLEN: Unidentified thieves stormed into the garage of Ali Muhammad in village Kalianwala and took away a tractor worth Rs one million. The police have registered a case but failed to arrest the accused and recover the tractor.
