Islamabad - Mayor Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz yesterday visited Koral Chowk and inspected the ongoing development work on different sections of the under-construction interchange.

The member engineering, member planning and design and senior officers of CDA and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) also accompanied him during the visit. The mayor inspected the work being carried out on different sections of the interchange and directed the concerned formations to complete the construction work by December this year.

He further directed the relevant formations to ensure quality, elegance and professional expertise while constructing the interchange as he said no compromise in this regard will be tolerated. He said that in order to upgrade road infrastructure and cater future needs, a comprehensive, phase wise plan is being implemented.

Earlier, the mayor was briefed that pace of the construction work has been accelerated to complete it by December this year. He was informed that 43% construction work on the interchange has been completed.
