ISLAMABAD - Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday issued stayed the auction of six cricket grounds by Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). The order was issued by Justice Ijaz Ishaq of IHC on a writ petition filed by Ajmal Baloch, President All Pakistan Anjaman-e-Tajran. Advocate Afzaal Qadeer Satti, on behalf of petitioner, pleaded that outsourcing six grounds of Islamabad by MCI will deprive thousands of Islamabad cricketers of their right of using grounds. A similar petition was earlier filed by Sardar Mehtab of UC 41 Islamabad. Cricketers and cricket organisers of Islamabad have welcomed this decision of IHC.
