Karachi - The petitioner Zakauddin on Wednesday has withdrawn his petition filled against the PML-N presidential candidate, Justice (R) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui. The petition had been filled against the defendant couple of days ago in Sindh High Court. The hearing on the petition was conducted before the division bench of Sindh High Court comprising Justice Khilje Arif Hassan and Justice Bin Yameen, but the petitioner withdrawn his petition, that he has filled to disqualify the presidential candidate. Earlier, a division bench of SHC had rejected the petition filled against the same presidential candidate, while the court also imposed penalty to the petitioner to pay of fine of Rs. 100000 to the court. The petitioner Zakauddin submitted that when Saeed-uz-Zaman was a lawyer, he rendered his services as a legal consultant of his company named Dastagheer Investment Management Company. When he was appointed as judge of SHC, he gave his verdict to shut down the said company on the application of Bank of America in 1987.
