LAHORE Tangible evidences have been found that links Indias Research Analysis Wing (RAW) with the attacks on Youm-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (AS) procession, say sources in the joint investigation team (JIT). The sources revealed that the back-to-back attacks were carried out by three youths ageing between 15 and 19 years. The evidences suggest that our neighbouring hostile state is involved in the attacks as they do not lead towards the involvement of any banned outfit. Thus, it is irrational to say that any defunct group was involved in the attacks, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mohammad Aslam Tareen told The Nation. Some suspected people apprehended by the security agencies personnel from different localities adjacent to Karbala Gamay Shah during the preliminary interrogation claimed to have seen two unfamiliar faces often visiting the said area, the JIT sources said. The CCPO, however, avoi-ded of establishing anything publicly, saying it was too early to maintain, but the things were quite clear now. He said that the attack was planned, coordinated and was carried out from across the border, Afghanistan. To a query, Aslam Tareen said that ISI, MI, Special Branch and IB were playing very cooperative role in the investigation. Sources in the ISI claimed to have unearthed the modus operandi of the terrorists and collected visible evidences. These were three suicidal bombers who exploded their vests at three points. They are Afghani, Indian or having nationality of any other country, it will be made public within few days, they added. A JIT member, requesting not to mention his name, said that National Database and Registration Authority (NAD-RA) have also identified the face of one terrorist. The JIT head Lahore Police SSP (Investigation) Zulfiqar Ham-eed however did not respond despite the repeated calls by this scribe.
