POLICE have arrested absconder SHO Rana Ilyas who was allegedly involved in lynching of two brothers in Sialkot last month, reported a private TV channel on Friday, quoting RPO Gujranwala. The accused was arrested from Sargodha, the channel added. Both brothers were tortured to death in public and in the presence of SHO Rana Ilyas. The Supreme Court took notice of the murders and ordered an inquiry. After the lynching, most of the accused were arrested but Rana Ilyas managed to escape from the police station on August 18.
