ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the government has taken concrete steps to bring an end to the sense of deprivation among the people of Balochistan, adding that it will lead to positive results. Talking to Federal Minister and BNP (Awami) Chief Senator Mir Israrullah Zehri on telephone Saturday, the President said the PPP government took decision with consultation of all the allied parties. He said they would adopt the same strategy while dealing with the case of Balochistan. He said the BNP (Awami) was being taken on board on all the issues pertaining the province. The President also extended Eid greetings to Mir Israrullah Zehri and assured him of further strengthening cooperation between the BNP and PPP in Balochistan. He also exchanged views on compensation for the people of Balochistan on their losses they suffered due to rains. He said the Federal Government would not leave the people of Balochistan alone in difficult times. He also referred to other steps taken by the government for the development and prosperity of Balochistan. The President said the PPP government had given billions of rupees as an additional aid to the province. He hoped that the law and order situation would be improved in the province in due course of time with the cooperation and support of allied parties.
