NOWSHERA VIRKAN - An anti-dengue seminar and a walk were held here to spread awareness against dengue according to the directions of the Punjab chief minister.
The CM's message was conveyed to the public in seminar at Town Municipal Office that eradication of dengue is their collective and social responsibility. All the departments of Punjab government are working to fight dengue as it can be controlled with joint efforts.  On the occasion, an informatory documentary on dengue was shown which was very beneficial. Addressing the seminar, MPA Khalid Pervez Virk stressed the need for taking preservative measures.
"It is our collective duty to take care and prevent ourself and our Children.  We have to clean our house, streets and towns," he said.  On the occasion, Ali Akbar, the assistant commissioner, said that all the departments of Punjab government are taking active part in the anti-dengue campaign. MS Dr Sikandar and Dr Zubair Rasool Cheema also delivered lectures.
Anti-dengue pamphlets and CD's were distributed by the Town Municipal Administration. At the end of the seminar, a walk was held and it was led by the MPA, the assistant commissioner and the TMO.
