DIBPL is now servicing Western Union customers for inward remittances through its branches across Pakistan, says a Press release.In order to celebrate this groundbreaking event an inauguration ceremony was held in Karachi, which was attended by Najam us Saqib (Head of PRI), Hamid Farid(CEO WU), Wamiq Rizvi ( Head of HR DIBPL), Saleem Yusuf (Finance Head DIBPL) & Naveed Malik ( Head of Distribution DIBPL)Speaking at the occasion, Najam emphasized that Inward remittances are extremely crucial for the development of Pakistan’s economy because it is a major contributor to the country’s foreign exchange reserves.Wamiq Rizvi mentioned “Inbound money transfer, has been designed keeping in mind the convenience of customers. It is the easiest and quickest way of collecting remittances through any DIBPL branch. Even if the beneficiaries do not have an account with DIBPL they will still be able to receive money from any of our branches with complete ease.”Naveed Malik said “ DIBPL distribution network is consistently growing with a significant pace. DIBPL network has witness a significant organic growth in the past few years taking the branch foot print to 91 branches in 33 cities. The beneficiaries can comfortably receive their remittances from this expanding network, even if they don’t have an account with us they will still be able to receive their funds with ease’.
