Lakki DPO warns subordinates of strict action on negligence


LAKKI MARWAT - The newly posted District Police Officer Idrees Khan, chairing a meeting at his office on Monday, warned the SHOs and other subordinate police officials of strict disciplinary action for showing negligence in performing professional obligations.
SDPO Lakki Bashar Khan, SDPO Naurang Sanaullah Khan, SHOs of all police stations, in charge police officers of police posts and police investigators attended the meeting. Idrees said that presence of narcotics and gambling dens as well as non custom paid vehicles in any part of the district would not be tolerated at all.
He reiterated that all out efforts would be made to bring positive and constructive change in traditional ‘thana culture’ to help problem stricken people and provide them with justice. 
He said that the change in ‘thana culture’ would help bridge the gap between public and police and enable the law enforcers to materialize the dream of crime free society. He made it clear that the SHOs and other subordinate police officers would face suspension from service and strict disciplinary action if found guilty of corruption or other wrongdoings.
The DPO called upon the SHOs to activate reconciliatory bodies in their respective areas and resolve compoundable disputes of people through them.
“The SHOs should also seek help from the members of reconciliatory committees to eradicate crimes and maintain peace in the vicinity of their respective police stations”, he added.  After taking over the charge of office, the newly posted district officer Idrees Khan has closed the station house officer of Shaheed Haibat Ali Khan police station of Darra Pezu town to police lines on Monday.  “SHO Gul Rauf has been directed to report to police lines with immediate effect”, an official told, saying that the action against the police official was taken on public complaints.
He said the additional SHO Tajori Mashal Khan was transferred and posted as the new station house officer of Shaheed Haibat Ali Khan police station.
