MULTAN - The students of MA Mass Communication launched under distance learning programme (DLP) at Bahauddin Zakariya University have accused the varsity administration of making it a source of revenue generation, claiming that the fee is risen after every semester.
While requesting anonymity, the students told this scribe that they paid Rs12,000 fee in the first semester but they had to pay Rs15,000 in second semester. "Then they asked us to pay another Rs2,000 as examination fee and now each students is being asked to deposit Rs3,000 as library fee," they added. They lamented that the varsity administration was bent upon recovering all of its losses from the poor students of distance learning programmes. They urged upon the Punjab CM and Governor to take notice of the situation and direct the BZU administration to refrain from fleecing the students.
