LAHORE  - Two persons died while 10 others wounded seriously in rain-related accidents in different parts of the provincial metropolis on Wednesday, police and rescue workers said.
A woman was killed while her brother wounded critically when the motorcycle, they were riding on, rammed into a footpath during downpour in Lower Mall. The woman, identified as Asma Bibi, died on the spot while her brother Amir was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
In another incident, a man was electrocuted at his house in Nawan Kot. Muhammad Ishtiaq received electric shocks as he touched the water pump during rain. He was rushed to a hospital where he died later.
Also, three people were wounded seriously when their car smashed into a roadside tree in Race Course. Another three persons wounded when the hoarding and signboards collapsed on them in Johar Town and Civil Lines areas amid downpour .
Meanwhile, five persons were wounded when the rooftops of their houses collapsed on them during heavy rain in Manga Mandi and Chuhng areas.
