Tasnim Aslam addresses current situation

ISLAMABAD- Answering questions at a weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said, “Pakistan and China are discussing matters pertaining to Chinese President's forthcoming visit. Number of agreements and memorandum of understandings are expected to be signed between the two countries during the visit.”

Replying to a question regarding terrorism, she said that armed forces had been taking decisive action against terrorists across the board.

Concerning Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project, the spokesperson said various proposals regarding the project are under discussion.

Regarding US sanctions on Iran, she said sanctions do not resolve issues.

On the subject of evacuation of Pakistanis from Libya, she said special operation aimed at bringing back the thousands of stranded Pakistanis is in progress.
