PESHAWAR- Vice Chancellor of Islamia College University Professor Dr Ajmal Khan, who was recently secured from the captivity of Taliban after four years, has said the militant group had orders to kidnap
former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain or Ajmal Khan.
In an interview, Dr Ajmal Khan said he was kidnapped while going to university and was given injections to keep him unconscious. He said when he came to his senses; he was in a mountainous area.
He said he had lengthy discussions with Sajna group over suicide attacks and the group admitted that blasts and suicide attacks in Bazaars, mosques and in funeral processions were against the teachings of Islam. He said that was why differences cropped up between Tehreek-e-Taliban and Sajna group.
The vice chancellor said during captivity, Taliban took proper care of him. He said he did not meet sons of Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Salman Taseer when he was in the custody of the Taliban.
