LAHORE: Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rashid has summoned a meeting of the parliamentary committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and an All Parties Conference of the opposition parties on September 10.

Talking to reporters here at the Punjab Public Secretariat on Sunday, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid said that stubbornness of the government has led to the current situation.

He said that PTI had asked few simple questions from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, but the latter denied as he was de-tracked by his ineligible advisers.

The provincial assembly’s opposition leader said the rallies on Saturday have proved that entire opposition stands united and committed in their efforts against corruption and other misdeeds of the government.

He also asked the prime minister to declare his assets. “PML-N will observe the power of PTI when Imran Khan will give a call of holding sit-in at Raiwind,” said Mehmoodur Rashid.
