PESHAWAR - Police claimed to have arrested two facilitators of Christian colony terror attack from Charsadda area where the militants had stayed before launching the attack in the early hours of last Friday.

Police said that the arrest was made from Ayesha Korona area of Charsadda, where the militants had took shelter on that night before the attack. Police intensified search operation and so far succeeded in the arrest of two facilitators. At least 120 suspects were apprehended during search operation in Christian colony and its adjacent areas a day after security forces foiled terrorist attack and killed four suicide bombers near Warsak Dam.

According to the spokesman of police, the search operation was carried out jointly by Cantt and rural police. Police also seized weapons including 19 pistols, four guns, three rifles and a Kalashnikov from many suspects.

Investigation was underway from the suspects and the innocents would be released, the police spokesman added.

The security personnel knocked down four suicide bombers after they stormed the Christian Colony near Warsak Dam. The security guards engaged the suicide bombers carrying automatic weapons and hand-grenades after they broke into Christian Colony at around 6am.

2 SECURITY MEN INJURED IN ATTACKS

Unknown armed persons shot injured Khasadar personnel in Lwara Mena area of Mulagori, sub-tehsil of Jamrud, Khyber Agency. Administration official said a Khasadar official identified as Bezaar Khan was executing his duty when gunmen shot him and fled the scene.

Soon after the incident, the security agency personnel moved to the site and shifted the injured to hospital for medical treatment. A massive search operation was also initiated in the area.

Meanwhile an army soldier was wounded in attack on post in Tirah Valley. The forces sources told that Lance Naik Tassawar Hussain got injured when unknown militants opened firing at forces post in Rajgaal, Koki Khel, a remote area of Tirah Valley.

He was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Peshawar for medical aid. Separately, Khasadar commander of Karkhano check point was meritoriously missing from the last day, administration sources said.

Ittehad Afridi was missing from previous day and no one knows about his whereabouts. The administration started looking for the missing Khasadar official, sources said.
