KAMALIA- A court sentenced two murder convicts to life imprisonment and Rs0.3 million fine each and six months of rigorous imprisonment in case of non-payment of the fine.

Additional and Sessions Judge Sardar Iqbal Dogar announced the decision after completion of hearing. However, other suspects Sajjad Asghar Masih, Parvez Masih and Amir Masih were acquitted due to lack of evidence.

A murder case was registered two years ago with Kamalia police station against suspects M Hanif, Irfan, Sajjad Asghar Masih, Parvez Masih and Amir Masih.

Nazir Hussain, a resident of Haveli Koranga, was allegedly murdered by the accused. The suspects had tricked Nazir Hussain into coming to Kamalia on the pretext of purchasing gunny bags. They robbed him of Rs0.36 million, ATM cards and mobile phones and buried his body in a hole dug up inside a room in a rented house at Kamal Colony. The case was registered against the culprits at City Police Station Kamalia.
