Faisalabad - Faisalabad Development Authority Chairman Ch Latif Nazar and Director General Dr Faisal Azim have explained that the Faisalabad Master Plan 2021-2041 is in draft shape yet which is not final and officially approved so far and is under consultative process. They gave this explanation while talking to different stakeholders. They cleared that no planning or commitment by any one should be made on the basis of proposed and unapproved draft of Faisalabad Master Plan. They informed that the task of preparing of master plan had been entrusted to private consultant company ( Osmani & Co) during the year 2017 and it was supposed to be completed within one year, however, the concerned consultants conduct different surveys , did study and analysis for formulation of master plan. They maintained that the master plan had been sent to concerned departments and institutions without making it public for inviting proposals/suggestions/objections/complaints from stakeholders. They told that now the proposed draft of master plan has been opened for seeking proposals/suggestions and objections from general public and stakeholders. They informed that the departmental eight members Master Plan Committee had been constituted which would submit its recommendations after reviewing the public proposals. Giving some details ,the FDA Chairman and Director General added that the consultative meetings had also been held with the representatives of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, land developers/ builders and their proposals had been sent to consultant company for consideration.
They pointed out that a five member Committee was also being constituted pertaining the two member each from Chamber of Commerce and land developers while a member would be included from District Bar Association while would present recommendations after consulting the concerned private institutions and organisations.
FDA Director General informed the stakeholders that proposals were being considered to maintain the land use plan mentioned in Peri Urban Structure Plan 2015 while road network work would also be remain intact.
He told that the master plan draft prepared by constant company had been displayed on FDA website and details of the same can also be obtained from FDA office.
He asked the stakeholders and other school of thoughts to submit their proposals and objections earliest for consideration and assured the genuine objection would be removed and feasible proposals would be made part of master plan for making it more comprehensive and transparent.
