ISLAMABAD  - Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad Friday expressed its annoyance over continuous non-appearance of former military ruler Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf in judges' detention case and summoned his two guarantors on the next hearing.

Besides summoning two guarantors, ATC Judge Atiq-ur-Rehman also issued summons to Musharraf and directed him to appear before the court on April 25, the next date of hearing of the case. During the hearing on Friday, Public Prosecutor Amir Nadeem Tabish objected to persistent absence of Musharraf and requested the court to initiate legal action against the former president and his guarantors.

Ilyas Siddiqui Advocate, counsel for Musharraf, appeared before the court and said that his client was ill and could not attend the hearing. He prayed to the court to grant the former president exemption from appearing before the court during hearing of the case. After hearing his arguments, the court granted exemption to the former president for one day and adjourned the case till April 25.
