An accountability court in Islamabad resumed its hearing in corruption references related to Sharif family on Thursday.
During the course of proceedings, defence counsel Khawaja Haris told the court that Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz weren't able to arrive in person due to a flight delay.
Officials of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) presented a flowchart covering details of Sharifs' assets before the judge, saying their assets have increased exponentially.
Maryam Nawaz had earlier demanded live telecast of NAB's inquiry regarding Avenfield case against the Sharif family.
“NAB inquiry against me and Nawaz Sharif must be broadcast live so that people could know the truth,” the PML-N leader tweeted.
“The entire case against Nawaz Sharif was prepared on WhatsApp, the record of which is unavailable.”
