Funeral prayer of Commandant Frontier Constabulary (FC) Sifwat Ghayyur , who was killed in a suicide attack on Wednesday, was observed here on Thursday. The funeral prayers held at Police Lines were also attended by federal interior minister Rehman Malik, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti, provincial information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani, former Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, Bashir Bilour, PML-N leader Iqbal Zafar Jhagra senior army and civil authorities. FC commandant Sifwat Ghayyur , was martyred in a suicide attack on Wednesday along with his three security guards. He had also served as CCPO Peshawar. Talking to media after the funeral prayers Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti said that martyrdom of Sifwat Ghayyur has fused the masses and FC with a new enthusiasm and military operation against terrorists would continued in future till the elimination of these elements from the province. He said that the vacuum left due to the martyrdom of Sifwat Ghayyur could never be fulfilled. He said that Sifwat Ghayyur was a brave and honorable man who was in forefront of the fight against terror due to which he was the target of terrorists. He said that there would be no change in the policy of fight against terror and we wont stop until their complete elimination. He said that after public hatred against terrorists now they have started targeting government officials Federal Interior minister Rehman Malik said, FC commandant Sifwat Ghayyur was a brave soldier and his services rendered against the terrorism would be remembered forever. Responding to a query, he said the government will soon announce a strategy regarding to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
