The Air Blue crash in the Margalla Hills Islamabad has saddened the whole nation. The tragic incident claimed lives of all those travelling on the plane. A less highlighted aspect of the tragedy was the treatment meted out to close relatives and families of the deceased. For many long, agonizing hours, they received no official attention and were not even extended the courtesy of an airplane to reach Islamabad. It seems so unfair when one considers the fact federal Law Minister Dr Babar Awan can go gallivanting to district bars on a chartered plane whenever he fancies doing so but the government cannot arrange for families of the deceased in a national tragedy to fly to Islamabad. I hope one day this government would do one thingsomething, anythingright with out any faux pas. -MUBASHIR MAHMOOD, Karachi, July 29.
